OK here’s something that is truly on a lark, and intended for those with some time and “fun money”.

You’ve probably heard about Bitcoin recently. If you haven’t, well you probably will soon as it’s blowing up EVERYWHERE. I literally saw a billboard appear at the side of a nearby expressway a few weeks back, that is pure & simply a promotion for Bitcoin. No call to action, just a “branding” campaign. So someone is spending some money on making sure the public at large knows about it.

Anyway, Bitcoin and its variants (AKA Litecoin and others…) are “alternative currencies”. They’re quite complicated IMO and frankly, I’m still only scratching the surface of what they’re all about. But the thing I discovered that is most fascinating to me, is that there’s an entire trading sub-culture that is growing up around these things. Like with stocks, options, forex, and commodities – you can trade cryptocurrencies too!

Not for the faint of heart, I suggest only those who have a pre-existing understanding of trading, marketplaces, currency pairs, etc. should look into this. But if this intrigues you… by all means check it out. I’m actively trading now – very small $ amounts just to play around and get a feel for it. Will it make you ultra rich? Who knows… if you buy a coin for fractions of a penny each (which many altcoins are currently selling for) and it blows up to even just a few pennies each… those are massive gains. So I think it’s worth it to take a “gamble” on a few of these and see what happens over the next year or two. I do believe that SOMETHING is going to happen, I just don’t know what.
