Affiliate Market & Offer Selection

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

I recently did a couple of webinars with my friend & fellow full time online marketer Phoenix Morgan, and they were very well received.  So well in fact that I was contacted by some people who didn’t sign up for them at all for various reasons that really wanted to see the recordings of them.

So, we decided to make them available as a package for a modest price, since the two really go hand in hand to give a complete picture of how and why to choose both an overall market, and specific offer to promote as an affiliate.

No fluff, no hype, just the real techniques and tactics that we use in our businesses.

Phoenix and I have very different approaches but they turn out to be extremely complementary, and putting them together forms a really good final result.

Check out the sales page (such as it is… I had fun with it, make sure you read it all ;) ) and if you think it’s for you, enjoy!

Remarketing Unleashed!

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

I recently promised a bonus video for those who purchased A.M. Khan’s Adtext Image Creator software through my link.

Well I’m sorry to say you’re not getting a video.

You’re getting *FOUR* videos.

This turned into over an hour of pure content, split into 4 videos, covering the complete process of setting up remarketing for use with PPV.  I call it “Remarketing Unleashed”.

The 4 videos are:

01 - Introduction
02 - Remarketing Code
03 - Adwords Campaign
04 - Adwords Reporting

Frankly I’m very pleased with how these came out, and I think they will give a major leg up to anyone who wants to try remarketing.

Again these videos are available for free to those who purchase Adtext Image Creator through my affiliate link.

Also don’t forget that TODAY, Monday June 28th is the FINAL day for the $97 price on AIC.  This is a steal so if you really think that remarketing and banners are in your future, and you don’t already have another tool to handle that part of the process, I strongly suggest you consider AIC very seriously.

I’m just as excited about remarketing as I was on the original phone call with A.M. - maybe even more.  A bunch of you have been emailing me with your early results, and I must say that while nobody has admitted to hitting it “out of the park” yet, the potential is DEFINITELY there and there are some very cool things brewing for some of you!

I hope that my videos will help you understand how to set everything up, if you haven’t already figured it out.  And even if you have, I throw out a few ideas and possibilities that I think are worth listening for.

If you already bought AIC during this special, grab your Order Number from your receipt and go start watching now!

If you buy AIC today before the deal ends, give me up to 24 hours to add your order ID to my system for access to the videos.

Enjoy all!!

Jonathan

P.S.

Yes I will make these videos available directly in the near future, but I want to reward the new AIC buyers with a head start first.

Update on consulting club & remarketing video

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Boy this was sure a busy weekend.  In addition to reading through all your applications to my consulting club, I got so fired up by A.M. Khan revealing to me the potential of remarketing, that I set up several PPV and banner campaigns to start collecting data.  Now I’ve got to send welcome emails to everyone who’s been accepted into the club, as well as notify everyone who bought AIC how they will get my bonus video.

Whew!  You guys & gals keep me on my toes!

So here’s the important bits:

1)  Those of you who have applied to be in the consulting club, as of this morning I’m caught up on all submissions and will begin notifying those who are accepted shortly.  If you didn’t get accepted, sorry about that… for one reason or another I just didn’t feel it was a good fit for both of us.  Don’t take it personally!  =)  There is a waiting list that I will put everyone else on for the future, in case I accept some more people or others cancel.

I’ve got room for some more people so if you’re still thinking it might be a good fit for you, go submit your application right now.  I’ll stop taking applications soon, probably this week.

2)  For all of you who just purchased Adtext Image Creator through the $97 special, I’m collecting data now in order to create the bonus video for you.  I want to have as much to show you as I possibly can so just be patient.

My intent with the video is to show you a complete start-to-finish waklthrough of adding remarketing code to a PPV campaign, building remarketing lists, and creating the banner campaign to go with it.  For sheer simplicity I’m not even using AIC for this demonstration.  Using it will give you much greater flexibility and ad coverage, but I would have to make this a complete training video on how to use AIC as well and I’m just not up to that right now.

By the time you finish watching the video, you should be able to build your own remarketing lists without any difficulty using PPV or actually any traffic source of your choosing.  From there, it’s up to you how well you can convert them from your Adwords content network campaigns.

That’s it for now… oh one other thing, I just got wind of something a couple friends are doing that also sounds really top notch.  I’ll write about that separately.

Talk About Unexpected…

Sunday, June 13th, 2010

I had a phone call with a friend and fellow internet marketer, A.M. Khan the other day. I had planned to ask him some questions I had about Google’s new remarketing features, since I knew only a little bit and was genuinely curious about it.

I watched his video about remarketing.

I thought I pretty much got the picture.

I thought I knew where the conversation would go.

I thought it would last around 15 to 20 minutes.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

You’ve got to listen to this, especially if you use PPV at all and have an Adwords account (or plan to get one).

Remarketing Call With A.M. Khan (mp3)

This is 100% for real, totally unscripted and completely unexpected. PPV and PPC people need to listen to this!

Of course A.M. also had something to promote, even though I kinda hijacked the call for my own selfish interests! LOL

He makes an offer on the call of his Adtext Image Creator 2.0 software for $197. That’s half price and I thought it was an awesome offer.

But then we talked a couple days later.

One thing led to another and he agreed to drop the price from $397 to only $97 for 2 weeks just for my readers & customers!

Before you buy, make sure you read the rest of this post!

www.tooltrainer.com/aic

If you don’t already have a tool for mass-producing banners in all the appropriate sizes for your content network/remarketing campaigns, you should really give AIC a try.

Now for the really fun stuff… it doesn’t stop there. This is where you’re going to want to pay attention if you use PPV or plan to.

I got so excited about the potential of what we discussed on the phone, that I immediately set up a few test campaigns to see if it actually was possible.

Well sure enough, IT IS possible! I’m now building remarketing lists that I can zero in on again later via PPC, from the cheapest of the cheap PPV traffic.

I can target these people EVERYWHERE they go on the Content Network.

Screw site targeting.

Forget trying to guess what websites they might visit.

I can show ads to them REGARDLESS of the sites they’re on, even if they aren’t related to the original niche!

I was able to add 1,000 targeted people to my first test “health products” remarketing list for just $15 from PPV traffic.

I’m working on another list now for auto insurance, and another for credit.

The possibilities here are staggering.

I’m producing a video documenting the technique and my findings, and will make it available as a bonus to all who buy Adtext Image Creator through my link.

www.tooltrainer.com/aic

You’ll get to see me developing and refining the technique as I go. This is so new I’m not sure there’s even anyone else in the world who’s done this (if there is they certainly aren’t talking about it!)

But listen to our call first, as it may even be all you need to get started with this technique. Still I expect my video will help clear the whole process up a lot for those who don’t quite get it just from hearing us talk about it.

I really think this could breathe new life into PPV and PPC in specific, and even affiliate marketing in general.

Seriously, go listen to this right away. Shut the door, turn off the phone, open your ears and pay close attention when I start getting really excited. You won’t miss it.

AffExpert.com Review

Friday, May 21st, 2010

OK folks, it’s tool time! There’s a new player in the URL scraping/manipulation game. You may not have heard about it yet and even if you do it will probably get lost under the noise of the latest “hot launch” in the IM world. But this is one offering you really need to know the details about, so I made a video that you can watch here.

I strongly suggest you watch the whole thing… I spent a lot of time on this because I think it’s something that a lot of people will actually benefit from, in particular if they use CPV/PPV traffic but for PPC marketers as well this could be a big time & money saver.

If you find it useful, please hit the “Tweet” button on the upper right.

Enjoy!

Yahoo Microsoft Search Alliance

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Just got this email from Yahoo… mighty interesting things appear to be brewing. I wonder what it will all mean!

Dear Advertiser,

Yahoo! and Microsoft have now received regulatory clearance to form a search alliance. This is a significant milestone and an exciting first step in our combined effort to help you reach even more customers with greater ease and efficiency.

What’s Ahead

There will be no immediate changes to your Yahoo! Search Marketing account. Both companies are committed to making this transition as seamless and beneficial to you as possible. Our aim is a high quality transition of advertisers and partners in at least the U.S. prior to the 2010 holiday season. However, we may wait until 2011 if we determine this will be more effective. Approximately three months in advance, we’ll begin providing you with detailed information about what to expect and how we will assist you.

How the Yahoo! and Microsoft Search Alliance Will Benefit You

Once implemented, the Yahoo! and Microsoft Search Alliance will enable you to:

Reach more customers.
• Reach up to 150 million searchers(1)9 and get approximately 62% more search volume(2) than on Yahoo! alone through a new, unified search marketplace combining the Yahoo! and Microsoft networks.
• To help drive future growth in search volume, Yahoo! will continue to significantly enhance the search experience on our leading web properties.

Save valuable time and effort.
• You’ll log into one place–Microsoft’s adCenter–to manage campaigns, for greater efficiency and a better ROI.

Benefit from rapid innovation.
• Yahoo! will deliver new features and innovations to the world’s favorite online destinations, content, and web products used by hundreds of millions of consumers to connect to the people and things that matter to them most.
• Microsoft will innovate the underlying technologies that drive high quality algorithmic and paid search results.

Magic Bullet Software Review

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

I’m totally slammed in preparation for the LPGen2 launching shortly, but I had to get this post out real quick between everything else.

If you haven’t seen the video where Amish walks through the use of his new Magic Bullet software, you’ve gotta check this out. No optin required or anything either… just watch the vid, then come back here.

https://mbe.infusionsoft.com/go/g3/tooltrainer/

Yes that’s an affiliate link. Duh. If you’re allergic to them, go here instead.

So, what’s your take? You think this is real? Too good to be true?

Well here’s the thing… I’ve spent a few days with Amish & Jay on a couple of occasions and man I gotta tell you, these guys know their stuff!! I’m not just saying this because I’m promoting their launch. They are about as cutting edge and “push the envelope” as anyone I’ve ever seen or heard of. I knew a lot of what their in-house systems were capable of (when I walked into their high-rise office the first thing I did was go straight to their huge whiteboard and study it intensely… LOL) but I didn’t really think they’d ever release it outside their own confines.

And the fact is I’m not certain that they have… I’m sure they have additional things beyond what they’re showing in their own version. What marketer doesn’t have a “special” version of their public tools for their own use?

But still, what Amish has shown so far is freaking insane. Being a software guy myself, I’m always a little skeptical when someone claims to be releasing the ultimate be-all end-all affiliate marketing tool that will do everything for you including squeeze your orange juice or make your coffee in the morning. But I’m optimistic that this is actually gonna deliver!

So the question is, does it really work? I spent a number of years back in the 90s as a paid product demonstrator for some high tech companies here in Silicon Valley, and I got very VERY good at publicly (usually in Vegas or Europe at various high end tradeshows) demonstrating software that could ONLY do what the demo required.

But nobody ever knew that because I always left them assuming that every button actually worked and that every feature I described would do what it was supposed to. Truth was most of the buttons would make the whole system crash! ;)

No big deal because that’s the nature of demonstrating technology that’s still a fair ways away from release. But this thing launches in just a couple DAYS! Is it ready for prime time?

I’ve seen Amish present the Hexatrack platform a number of times, and it always SOUNDED brilliant! But over time I’ve heard from a fair number of people who were disappointed in it, either because it didn’t quite live up to the expectations that were set, or took too long to work out the kinks, etc. I have a Hexatrack account but I really never did much with it. Like so many other things, I just didn’t set aside the time to really figure it out.

But I gotta say that none of the Hexatrack versions that I’ve played with, could hold a candle to what I saw Amish do in Magic Bullet. This thing is a monster… it’s like Google Cash Detective, Keyword Rockstar, Adtext Generator, Prosper202, and a ton of other insane stuff all merged into one mega system!

Please note that I have NOT yet had my hands on the software, but you can absolutely bet that I will very soon. According to Amish, they’re apparently giving all Magic Bullet Seminar attendees free access! Talk about good value for the seminar cost… WOW.

So what about you? Are you impressed? Excited? Jaded? Do you just not believe a word any marketer says on principle? ;) Personally I’m in the excited camp… though it’s going to be probably a month before I can actually set aside the time to put MagicBullet through its paces. I sure can’t wait to do so though… I wonder if I can create a plugin for LPGen to tie the two together… Hmmmm…

What do you think?

Is CPA marketing still viable on Google Adwords?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

December has been an interesting month indeed in the affiliate marketing world. Mass account-bannings have seemed to be the norm, on a much larger scale than I recall hearing about before. And while some are pointing fingers at the truly scammy advertisers and scam products, the truth is that this latest sweep has hit people at all levels of adwords advertising, from the tiniest “little guy” to some big Goliaths. I know people who only ran a few Clickbank offers that got banned.

Personally I think Google has broader ambitions of shutting down affiliate marketing as a whole - but I’ll go into that more in the near future.

CPA marketing in particular has been taking a lot of heat as being responsible for this latest crackdown… and I don’t know if that’s completely undeserved. Let’s face it, an awful lot of CPA offers (but not all) are really sketchy at best.

But the fact is that you can go do a Google search right now and still find plenty of CPA offers coming up in the PPC listings. So obviously SOMEONE is still able to run these offers. Do they know something you don’t? That’s a very likely possibility… after all one of the biggest advantages in this industry is having specialized knowledge (and of course, then implementing that knowledge in the form of action).

So it’s definitely interesting timing then, that a couple of guys I mastermind with and am fortunate enough to call friends, are about to share some of this specialized knowledge with us all. You’ve probably heard of them already if you’re in the CPA game at all - Amish Shah and his partner Jay Styles.

Now I know not everyone is a huge fan of Amish and Jay - after all they are definitely “bad boys” of affiliate marketing, willing to do *almost* anything to make their business profitable. They are well known for saying things like “screw Google, they’re not the law” and opening up tons of Adwords accounts so that they can completely dominate markets. They’re known for mass-executing pretty much any profitable TOS-breaking trick you can think of.

But clearly whatever they’re doing works, because they’re still cranking away high volume CPA campaigns despite the most recent account shutdowns. I’m sure even they have felt at least SOME pain from the recent turn of events, but when your biggest problem is that your average daily revenue dropped from $20,000 to $15,000, then that’s a pretty “high quality problem” in my book.

So where is all this going? Amish has always dabbled a little bit in the “IM” world with the release of well known products like the original Google Goggles, his “The New PPC” educational video series (still on Youtube and filled with good info), the Hexatrack family of software products, and of course for this year’s Magic Bullet Seminar which was pretty phenomenal.

He’s now setting out to reveal exactly how his business is still cranking out over $14,000 per day average, in gross CPA commissions even after all the recent google slaps. I’m sure some of it is going to have to do with other traffic sources, media buys, that sort of thing. But he insists that they’re still going strong with Adwords too, and are going to give away an entire campaign - keywords, landing pages & all - so that you can see exactly how they’re doing it.

Like I mentioned already, Amish & Jay’s style (no pun intended ;) ) isn’t for everyone… but if you’re someone who’s willing to bend rules occasionally and care more about profitability than “being nice”, then this stuff is probably right for you. If nothing else I’m sure the free content they’re providing will give you some solid ideas and maybe even an “aha” moment or two.

So check it out and jump on any nuggets you come away with… as with most of the information out there, it’s likely that most people won’t act on it so those who do stand to profit the most!

Try SpeedPPC 4.0 for $4.95

Monday, December 14th, 2009

In case you missed it, Jay and the gang over at PPCLoophole have added a low-cost trial. For $4.95 you can get access to their training material and tools, including SpeedPPC 4.0.

It’s being mentioned all over the place and I’m certainly joining the chorus - but if you’ve been relying on Adwords for your traffic, you’ve either just been shafted or are pretty much just waiting for it to happen. Since SpeedPPC supports so many other PPC traffic sources, it seriously behooves you to learn how to use it effectively, and fast. There’s already a mad rush to other PPC platforms like Yahoo, Bing, and the 2nd tier engines… make sure you don’t miss out on what is actually a huge opportunity for some who lost their Adwords accounts. Check out SpeedPPC and start getting your traffic back!!
